Shane founded Cornerman after experiencing firsthand what it’s like to build a business without the right support. Having started his own business journey at a young age, he’s lived through the wins, the failures, and the moments where decisions carry real weight.

Those experiences shaped his view of business and underpin why Cornerman exists: to help high net wealth individuals and business owners avoid unnecessary struggle and build stronger, more resilient enterprises from the outset.

A Chartered Accountant with years of experience building and advising businesses, Shane brings deep technical capability while keeping his focus firmly on what matters to decision-makers. He thrives in complexity—stepping into challenging situations, untangling financial and operational issues, and designing systems that give business owners clarity and control. His strength lies in translating detail into clear, practical insight that clients can act on with confidence.

As a business owner himself, Shane understands the pressure that comes with risk and responsibility. That perspective shapes both his advice and the culture at Cornerman. His approach is straightforward: don’t sell what you wouldn’t buy, focus on strong foundations, and make decisions that stand up over time—not just in the moment. Doing the right things, for the right reasons, in the right way is fundamental to how he works.

Shane typically works with serious, experienced business owners—often operating large, new-age or unconventional enterprises with complex structures and cross-border considerations. Acting as an external CFO, he cuts through the noise that can distract internal teams, while maintaining a close understanding of both the business and the owner’s broader financial position. His focus is on growing, protecting, and leveraging wealth-generating assets so his clients can achieve long-term financial freedom.

It is Shane's passion for unique and interesting ventures, that has lead him to be a key stakeholder in other businesses outside of Cornerman.  One such business is McIntosh Autofarm, which he co-founded in 2023. A specialist mechanical service and restoration workshop for luxury sports vehicles, particularly Ferrari's, Shane's strategic expertise and natural business energy is integral to McIntosh becoming the Number 1 Ferrari Workshop in Australia.  

Co-Founded Legends Life Foundation, a not-for-profit focused on supporting young people navigate adversity. From cultivating strategic partnerships to ensuring sustainable funding and delivering meaningful programs, his involvement is hands-on and purpose led. His long-term vision is a nationwide reach, committed to expanding the foundation’s footprint across Australia so more young people are empowered to recognise their potential and pursue it with confidence.

A strong advocate for collaboration, Shane places real value on networks and timely introductions, understanding the impact the right connection can have at the right moment. For him, Cornerman is about more than accounting or compliance—it’s about helping people get what they want out of life.
